Is on-premises LightNVR different software from LightNVR Cloud?
No. Both use the same open-source LightNVR core. The difference is where it runs and who owns the infrastructure. An on-premises engagement adds professional design, implementation, project-specific work, and optional ongoing support.
Can you work with cameras we already own?
Usually. RTSP and ONVIF cameras are the best fit. Discovery includes a camera and firmware inventory so we can validate compatibility and identify exceptions before purchasing server hardware.
Do you sell the server hardware?
We begin with vendor-neutral recommendations sized to the workload. Depending on the project, hardware can be customer-procured, procured through an installation partner, or included in the implementation scope.
Can an MSP or security integrator deliver the installation?
Yes. We can work behind an MSP or installer as the LightNVR engineering and escalation partner. The partner can own the customer relationship and physical installation while we support design, provisioning, software, and complex troubleshooting.
Can some locations run on-premises while others use LightNVR Cloud?
Yes. Hybrid deployments are a sensible fit when major sites need local retention but smaller or remote sites benefit from managed cloud recording. We scope identity, access, monitoring, and support across both paths.
How is an engagement priced?
We normally separate paid discovery and system design, quoted implementation, and optional ongoing support. That keeps the initial decision bounded while ensuring the deployment quote is based on real camera, storage, and network requirements.
